What can you expect at Your First Visit:

At the heart of our Chiropractic philosophy is this simple wisdom: treat the problem itself, not just the symptoms. If you only look at the symptoms, the underlying problem is still there and will keep surfacing until it is corrected. Chiropractic care is a proven and effective method of treatment for many people who suffer from back pain, neck pain, headaches and many other disorders related to the body's neuromusculoskeletal system.

The science and philosophy of Chiropractic centers around the body's spine. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord, which is the "switchboard" through which nerve impulses are transmitted from the brain to all parts of the body.

In the event of stress or an injury, misaligned vertebrae can interfere with nerve transmissions and can cause dysfunction and pain. Chiropractic treatment realigns the vertebrae so the nerve impulses are not restricted, thus restoring proper spinal function. It is this proper spinal function which is so very important for the health of the entire human body.

Chiropractic is a proven, safe and effective treatment for many conditions and the secondary benefits are limitless in maintaining optimal health. There are hundreds of studies validating the safety and effectiveness of chiropractic care. At Gateway Chiropractic Center, we would like to see as many people as possible benefit from Chiropractic treatment.

This is an important question asked by many prospective patients coming to Gateway Chiropractic Center. Our support staff are extremely helpful during this first visit prior to seeing one of the Doctors.

During your initial call, staff will ask questions and will obtain personal information along with any health insurance information from you. An appointment time of approximately 1 hour will be scheduled with a Doctor at a convenient time during our business hours (can we have a link to that put here?). Also, staff will help you navigate to our office with directions and parking information and may ask you to arrive early on the day of your appointment, for paperwork.

Upon arrival at Gateway Chiropractic Center for your first appointment, you will be asked to complete any necessary paperwork, make copies of any health insurance cards while in a relaxed, comfortable space. Staff are always available if you have questions or require some assistance with completing paperwork.

While with the Doctor you have scheduled with, a complete and pertinent history will be taken and an examination will be conducted as well as opportunity for questions. Often treatment is provided to you on a first visit which will follow an explanation of your examination findings.

Once treatment is finished, recommendations will be made for home care and when to return for a follow-up consultation and treatment.

If you have any questions, the Doctor will do their best to answer before the end of your initial visit.

All of us at Gateway Chiropractic Center are concerned about the ever-changing cost of healthcare. We deliver excellent care at reasonable costs. Per-visit costs are generally lower for Chiropractic visits than for any other health care provider.

We are providers for most insurance plans in Wisconsin, including Medicare and Medicaid (Badgercare). If you are unsure of your coverage, we will be happy to help contact your insurance company and verify your Chiropractic benefits. In addition, we offer insurance billing services for patients.

If you do not have insurance, we offer discounted costs for Chiropractic care and are happy to work with you to develop a reasonable payment plan, if necessary.
