What should I expect during an ‘Initial Visit’ to Gateway Chiropractic Center?

In most cases a 60 minute appointment is set up so that the doctors can perform a complete case history and examination. Prior to this 60 minute examination, staff will help you with preliminary paperwork, provide an explanation of insurance benefits and answer any questions regarding financial responsibility.

Once the examination has started, a complete history is taken so that the doctor can fully appreciate the nature of your condition and proceed with the proper examination. X-rays are often taken which provide further information.

Depending on the nature of your condition, the doctor might provide treatment on your initial visit or wait until a subsequent visit when you have been provided with a full report of findings. One of our goals at Gateway Chiropractic Center is to ensure that you have a complete understanding of why certain tests are performed, what the results of that testing indicates, and why certain treatments are recommended. Educating you is one of our primary goals and this begins from the minute you walk through our door.

Will health insurance cover Chiropractic care?

The doctors at Gateway Chiropractic Center are concerned about the ever-changing cost of health care. Their goal is to deliver excellent care at reasonable costs. Per-visit costs are generally lower for Chiropractic visits than any other health care providers.
At Gateway Chiropractic Center, the doctors are providers for most insurance plans in Wisconsin, including Medicare and Medicaid (Badgercare). If you are unsure of your coverage, we will be happy to contact your insurance company and verify your Chiropractic benefits. In addition, we offer insurance billing services for patients.

For patients without insurance, we offer discounted costs and are happy to work with you to develop a reasonable payment plan, if necessary.
